Final Major Project (FMP)

These are some test pieces I have created for my FMP, to create these test pieces I have used egg shells which I have blown the egg yolk and whites out to leave just an empty shell. I have tried a few different methods to mark make on top of the shell including sanding them and painting them with a layer of paint and sanding them back again before working on top of them with pens. Furthermore I have also used PVA glue to give the egg a shine before again drawing on top of the shall using pens and finally I have also just worked straight onto the egg which has including breaking an egg and drawing on the inside of the shell. The title of my FMP is called ‘Drawing in Space’ which is going to entail me working on to natural objects such as eggs and bones, I am also considering covering a person fully in pattern to test out how a full body piece would work.

Live Project

Throughout my 2 year art and design course I have posted my work up on my Instagram to self advertise my work I am producing. This has lead to a guy getting in contact with me through contact details I have put on my Instagram for anyone to get hold of me by. Once he got in contact with me he told me what he wanted and we discussed possible outcomes, once we had agreed on these he sent me through images that I could pick and choose to work with and create. This is one of my outcomes that I created with a elf portrait of the guy who was interested in me creating work for him and once I had sent him the finished outcome he also advertised my work which has lead to another guy from America getting in touch for me to create some work for a commission which has been throughly enjoyable and exciting for me and will hopefully be a start of things to come.

Life Drawing

During one of my life drawing sessions I focused on capturing the light and shadows by using black paper and white chalk. I created this from a 30 minute pose of the life model, She also wore a scarf so as a class we could all see how material sits on the body and draw it.
